Hello, my name is Jordan Stuckey ATC, LAT, MS, Head Athletic Trainer and CEO of PerforMaxx, LLC.  

 

Unfortunately, in reality every school / organization does not currently have an Athletic Trainer on staff. Athletic Trainers are very essential in sports because we are first responders on-site for the athletes. We have the knowledge and expertise that allows us to bridge the gap between sports and medicine.  

 

In effort to help your staff prepare for the upcoming sports seasons, I would love to schedule a brief seminar to review and explain to your coaches several important ways they can assist your athletes if / when minor injuries occur. This would include a high-level overview of basic first aid as well as providing them with first aid kits stocked with some essential items for their specific sport. While this will definitely not replace the need for Athletic Trainers, it will equip your coaches with a few tips and tools that will benefit their players and may even safe lives.

Drawing on my experience as a coach, coaches often serve as secondary care-givers for the time they are entrusted with other people’s children. Many injuries / illnesses that occur during sporting events can be minimized or even prevented with knowledge that will be provided.

 

Again, I welcome the opportunity to share my expertise with your staff. Working together I know we could create better prepared and safer environments, for your athletes and your coaching staff, thus elevating the overall experience for all participants.
